Manwurrk is the Bininj Junwok word for a bushfire used to hunt game and manage the ecosystem.

Traditional Owners have rejuvenated their country with fire for thousands of years.

Today traditional owners in the Kakadu National Park, work together with Parks and Wildlife rangers, combining traditional burning techniques with modern technology to reduce the number of hot fires at the end of the dry season.
