In one of those rare moments all the variables came together in complete harmony. The Alpine environment, so often angry and desolate was perfectly still and unseasonably warm on this particular spring afternoon. After setting up camp earlier in the day and wearing just a t-shirt, I spend some time scoping out potential compositions, until I came across this rock crusted in wind-blown ice rime. Thankfully, as the sun lowered in the sky, the sky exploded into an array of rich pinks and purples which was reflected on the snow allowing me to capture this colour-laden image.
